Team Overview

Senior PMO Analyst role available in the Global Operations PMO (GO_PMO). This role is part of the expansion of the GO_PMO Governance & Assurance Team which holds responsibility for driving and maintaining Portfolio Planning, Resourcing, Reporting and Assurance

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Day to Day You’ll:

  • Contribute to adoption of the CIS Portfolio management Change and Governance frameworks, tools and processes to ensure adherence to change standards and methods

  • Proactively monitor projects against TCQ expectations, providing an early warning of any variances and exceptions to the portfolios

  • Contribute to the ongoing expansion of the CIS Portfolio Management team, providing input to the development of services such as reporting, resource management and governance processes

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of CIS Portfolio Management services and processes by identifying and driving continuous improvement to enable, effective delivery of the global portfolios.

  • Support the development of the reporting processes for the portfolios, adhering to standards and timelines to ensure the provision of reliable and consistent management information.

  • Support the development and management of key reporting such Executive Portfolio Dashboards and portfolio trend analysis.

  • Support the CIS Portfolio Management communications and knowledge management strategy by quality checking templates and reference documents and publishing updates on the SharePoint site

  • Work with the Portfolio Leads and Project Managers to ensure that their project documentation and plans are current, relevant and at the required standard

  • Assure the portfolio performance against KPIs and quality metrics, providing constructive challenge and ensuring that the programs and projects are aligned with TU’s strategic priorities

  • Be seen as a subject matter expert for the GO_PMO Program Teams in all areas of governance and assurance

Required Knowledge And Experiences

• Additionally you will be/have:

  • A passionate advocate of the value a professional PMO team can bring to an organisation

  • An outgoing and engaging personality with strong interpersonal skills, being able to connect and build relationships with peers

  • Good knowledge of what governance and control processes look like, having demonstrable experience of practically applying it. You will be a skilled PMO professional.

  • Experience using a variety of project management and PMO tools

  • Experience using standard MS Office software to a highly competent level (SharePoint, MS Teams, Excel etc)

  • You will flourish being part of a team, have good collaboration skills and understand the value and importance of knowledge sharing.

  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate and influence with clarity and confidence.

  • Strong attention to details and technicalities. You will be thorough and pride yourself in the quality and accuracy of your work.

  • A confident multi-tasker, you will thrive in a fast paced environment that offers plenty of variety

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to ‘weed out’ the important from the noise

  • Experience of working collaboratively across organisational boundaries

  • A lifelong learner with a demonstrable record in professional improvement

• Qualifications and Professional Memberships

  • P30 Practitioner - Desirable

  • Prince2, APM/PMP or other delivery methodology - Desirable

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - Desirable
