Position Purpose:

The Home Depot is hiring a Cybersecurity Principal Engineer to lead cutting-edge efforts in securing AI-driven and agentic systems. This role focuses on building advanced fraud detection and analytics models, identifying emerging threats like deepfakes and AI impersonation, and driving the implementation of leading AI security frameworks such as NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001.

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • Expertise designing and implementing security controls in agentic-systems: (e.g. non-human identity (NHI) security; least-agency authorization; agentic-system tools and tools specific-controls.
  • Experience designing and implementing analytics pipelines and dashboards.
  • Experience designing and implementing Fraud-analytics systems and detection models: (e.g. graph learning and link analysis; sequence and anomaly detection models; custom NLP embeddings, model calibration, drift monitoring, and designing & implementing explainable Ai).
  • Experience designing and implementing detections for Adversarial use of Ai: (e.g. AI-impersonations attaks, deepfakes, and voice-cloning detection & prevention research and adversarial tooling.
  • Experience operationalizing AI governance and Security Frameworks: NIST AI RMF and Generative AI Profile, ISO/IEC 42001, OWASP’s AIBOM (CycloneDX AI extension).

Key Responsibilities:

  • 100% Deliver Execution, Plans & Aligns - Review, analyze, identify and provide solutions to mitigate potential security control gaps enterprise wide; Collaborate across teams to reduce vulnerabilities, risks and incident management; Partner with engineers, technology and business partners to implement and maintain a secure environment

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.


Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
