Canonical seeks an Engineering Manager for Ceph & distributed storage to build and manage a globally distributed engineering team, contribute technically, set schedules and expectations, advance agile practices, ensure software quality and documentation, and coach and develop engineers. Role is home-based across Americas and EMEA with up to ~20% travel.

Work on Distributed Systems Testing to create automated testing infrastructure and CI pipelines for cloud orchestration tools (Juju, Terraform, OpenStack, Kubernetes). Role requires Python or Go, strong OOP skills, CI tooling experience, Linux and networking knowledge, and involves deploying and debugging across public clouds and bare metal. ~2–4 weeks international travel per year.
