Sonatype seeks a Staff Software Engineer on the Developer Experience team to design, build, and maintain backend services and cloud infrastructure that power provisioning, licensing, and purchasing capabilities. Requires 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong Java backend skills, experience with cloud platforms (particularly AWS), containerization and infrastructure tooling (Docker, Terraform, Ansible), and familiarity with microservices, event-driven architectures, databases, CI/CD, and observability. The role includes hands-on development, troubleshooting, technical leadership, and mentoring.

Lead and execute customer onboarding, migration, implementation, configuration, and optimization of Sonatype products while partnering with engineering, customer success, sales, and product teams. Provide delivery leadership, mentor peers, manage engagement timelines and documentation, and escalate/resolve complex issues. US-remote role requiring US citizenship, at least 8 years of experience in DevOps/cloud engineering/software delivery, and occasional travel.
