Lead the technical vision and implementation of AI-powered features across the full stack (APIs, data models, services, UI) for Placer.ai's location intelligence platform. Responsible for LLM integration, retrieval, agents, tool-calling, evals, production monitoring and reliability; requires 10+ years of software engineering experience, strong Python/React/TypeScript and cloud/containerized deployment experience. Role is remote with a U.S. annual pay range of $160,000–$190,000 USD.

Build and ship internal AI infrastructure and agentic workflows (agents, MCP servers, connectors, Cowork plugins) and take ownership of internal BI on Databricks. Responsibilities include OAuth/credential/auth infrastructure, Kubernetes deployments, integration triage, usage tracking, security/compliance, and platform cost optimization. Role requires 8+ years backend engineering experience and prior experience with MCP/LLM agent frameworks and data engineering or analytics tooling.
