Join Chainguard's Guarded Containers team to design and ship new product features for Chainguard Images, evolve supporting tooling and infrastructure, and own technical decisions. Role requires 5+ years of software development experience, strong fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, compilers, Makefiles, toolchains), expertise with containers/Docker/Kubernetes and container registries, experience with Terraform or IaC, and Go development. Base salary range: $157,000–$184,000 USD.

Role owns features end-to-end for the Customer Platform: design, implement, roll out, and iterate backend systems (Go, REST/gRPC) that power entitlements, policies, and customer onboarding. Acts as the primary technical interface to other engineering teams, extends AI capabilities into customer-facing experiences, and provides technical leadership and mentorship. Requires production Go experience, strong API and backend design/operation experience; familiarity with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, cloud provider APIs) and experience with entitlements/billing or AI features are noted as pluses.
