This Staff-level Forward Deployed Engineer position partners with strategic customers and cross-functional GitLab teams to resolve complex technical and adoption challenges, contribute production-quality fixes and features to GitLab, and develop reusable guidance for AI-assisted development and the agentic SDLC. The role requires strong engineering experience (notably Ruby on Rails or Go), deep knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD, and experience diagnosing system behavior across application, infrastructure, and observability domains.
