Sysdig is hiring a Technical Engineering Lead to manage and scale the team that builds the runtime agent. The role involves setting technical direction, reviewing designs and code, unblocking engineers, and collaborating with product and security teams to deliver features without regressing performance or stability. Position is flexible/remote based in Italy. Annual salary range stated: EUR 66,000–83,000.

Lead Sysdig's assurance function from a technical, customer-facing perspective. Own ISO 27001/27701 and SOC 2 Type II certification lifecycle, design and implement continuous controls monitoring and control automation, build AI assurance aligned to ISO 42001/NIST AI RMF/EU AI Act, manage high-consequence customer engagements and third-party AI risk, and enable field teams to answer security questions without escalation.

Senior leadership role to run Sysdig Threat Research end-to-end: set the AI security research agenda, lead a small hands-on team of researchers and engineers, own detection content and the detection platform, publish original research (CVE, campaigns, talks), and partner with Product and Marketing. Requires 10+ years in security research/detection engineering, published AI security work, hands-on tooling and analysis, and deep knowledge of Linux, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud internals.

Develop new technology within Falco, Sysdig OSS and related libraries; contribute to and possibly maintain open source projects; help users, fix bugs, make releases and implement automation; engage with the community via Slack/GitHub, speak at conferences (e.g., KubeCon), and write technical blogs. Requires ~5 years as a software engineer in cloud-native or security domains and strong programming and collaboration skills.

Work on Falco, OSS Sysdig, their libraries and open source projects: contribute/maintain code, fix bugs, perform releases and automation, and engage with the community (Slack, GitHub, conferences, blogs). Role expects ~5 years' software engineering experience in cloud-native or security domains and demonstrated open source contributions. Location is flexible with Spain and Serbia explicitly listed.

Lead and own security engineering across product, production, offensive, and assurance pillars. Build programs for agentic continuous pentesting and AI/classical security champions, run detection and response on Sysdig's production environment, shape product roadmap as customer zero, and represent security externally. Requires 8+ years in security or software engineering with leadership experience.
