SUMMARY:
The Senior Visual Designer owns the visual design execution for the Account Hub—a customer-facing experience aggregating account-level interactions across brands. Operating within the Unified Experience (UE) Core portfolio, this individual delivers high-fidelity visual UI designs while applying strong UX acumen to assess interaction, flow, and usability. The role acts as a collaborative bridge to the core design system team, adopting established components while contributing new Account Hub-specific patterns into the broader ecosystem.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Deliver polished, high-fidelity visual design for Account Hub screens, modular components, and complete end-to-end user flows.
- Apply UX judgment to visual execution by identifying usability issues, edge cases, and flow improvements early in the iterative design process.
- Partner with the Design Lead and UX design counterparts to translate low/mid-fidelity wireframes and architectural concepts into production-ready visual designs.
- Maintain visual alignment with corporate design system guidelines while adapting components to the unique demands of the Account Hub ecosystem.
- Collaborate with the central design system team using a contribution-based model, feeding newly validated Account Hub patterns back into the global system.
- Prepare clear visual specifications, interaction notes, and asset handoffs for engineering development teams.
COMPETENCIES & CORE BEHAVIORS
- Visual Craft & Detail: Masterful execution of visual hierarchy, typography, UI layout, color, and high-fidelity asset preparation for production environments.
- UX Acumen & Systems Reasoning: Ability to evaluate user flows, flag interaction bottlenecks, and contribute to structural UX decisions rather than executing work passively.
- Design System Stewardship: Proficiency in building within scalable enterprise design systems alongside an active contribution-oriented mindset to evolve shared pattern libraries.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong partnership skills across product management, engineering, UX design, and design system teams.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience in visual design, UI design, or digital product design for complex, consumer-facing digital web and mobile applications.
- Proven track record of taking complex functional requirements and converting them into clean, high-fidelity production interfaces.
- Demonstrated history of working within, contributing to, and evolving enterprise design systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Strong portfolio showcasing high-fidelity visual UI design, screen layouts, component patterns, and shippable consumer-facing product work.
- Strong UX fluency—ability to reason about information architecture, user flows, interaction patterns, and overall usability.
- Deep experience leveraging and contributing to component libraries and UI kit design systems.
- Comfort working in an agile environment alongside product management, UX design, and software engineering.
- Expertise in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
Preferred:
- Experience designing multi-brand platforms, unified account hubs, or profile management portals.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, life sciences, or financial services).
- Basic understanding of front-end implementation constraints (HTML/CSS/React).
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or equivalent practical experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Professional verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to articulate complex design decisions clearly to non-design executives, engineering leads, and business stakeholders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Remote. Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment, including repetitive motions such as typing, scrolling, and mouse use. Ability to communicate effectively and understand verbal communication in person, by telephone, and through video conferencing or other remote communication tools. Ability to view and read information on computer screens and printed materials, including the ability to adjust focus. The position requires prolonged periods of computer use and viewing a computer screen.
