Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative is a key position within the organisation and directly contributes to the success of our global sales team.

The role entails cold calling and follow-up capabilities for identifying suitable prospects, generating leads/appointments that lead to a rapid increase in new business. The ideal candidate will be a team player and consistently exhibit attention to detail, initiative, and resourcefulness in constructing the Company’s sales pipeline.

The successful candidate will be required to work from 1pm to 10pm SAST, based Hybrid from our Sandton office.


How you will make a difference:

  • Spot the signals others miss — identify high-growth companies by tracking hiring trends, expansion signals, and market movement
  • Dig deep into target accounts to uncover key decision-makers and build high-quality prospect data that sets you up to win
  • Own the full outbound motion— driving cold calls, outreach, and prospecting activity that consistently turns interest intoqualified meetings
  • Partner closely with Sales to build pipeline that converts — from booking meetings to ensuring strong attendance and seamless follow-through
  • Confidently engage senior stakeholders (CEO, CFO, COO, Directors) — building credibility, sparking interest, and opening doors to real opportunities
  • Turn conversations into qualified opportunities by asking the right questions and uncovering genuine business needs
  • Build meaningful relationshipsthat go beyond a single touchpoint — laying the foundation forlong-term revenue growth
  • Actively challenge the status quo — identifying smarter, faster, and more effective ways to improve outbound and sales processes
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to highlight what’s working, what’s not, and where we can unlock more performance
  • Help remove friction in the funnel by spotting process gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities to scale impact

What You’ll Bring:

  • A consistent track record of hitting and exceeding targets in B2B inside sales, you know how to deliver results and keep the momentum going
  • Experience selling within an EOR, payroll, or workforce solutions environment, with a strong understanding of global hiring and compliance challenges is highly advantageous
  • Confidence owning outbound into the US market, you know how to engage US buyers, handle objections, and create real opportunities
  • A natural hunter mindset — you don’t wait for pipeline, you build it from scratch
  • Strong experience driving high-volume, high-impact outbound across calls, email, and social, with messaging that actually cuts through
  • You don’t just follow scripts — you think, adapt, and personalise to get results
  • Comfortable using Salesforce (or similar) to stay on top of your game and keep momentum high
  • Exceptional communication skills, you bring energy, clarity, and confidence to every interaction
  • Elite listening skills, you pick up on what’s reallybeing said andturn it into opportunity
  • Sharp, confident when presenting, you know how to position value in a way that resonates and sticks
  • Highly driven, competitive, and resilient. You bounce back fast and go again harder
  • Ready to plug into a global team and own your patch working US Eastern hours (1pm–10pm SAST)
