The Role

As a Technical Consultant specializing in environment and release management, you will be a key member of the Veeva Technical Servicesteam. You will be working on our industry-leadingVault Platform, which powers all Veeva applications across the Commercial and Dev Cloud spaces.
You will join theEnvironment & Deployment Excellence Teamwithin Technical Services. Our team oversees large-scale development workstreams and robust environment landscapes, ensuring reliable, automated configuration deployments with version control. Development teams depend on our expertise in maintaining safe code isolation and effectively managing conflicts across multiple workstreams.
The role requires a technical mindset: you will take care not only of the release standards, but the release package creation, the version control systembuilt around it, thedata migrationitself, and thetroubleshooting. We use a dedicated “toolset base” that includes free source ones as well as massive in-house built and continuously upgraded applications.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement release strategies and configuration distribution models
  • Define and enforce standards for development, configuration deployment, and environment management
  • Build, test, and deploy configuration packages through automated CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
  • Responsible for managing and synchronizing multiple project workstreams, proactively identifying and mitigating risks arising from cross-project dependencies
  • Create and maintain Vault sandbox environments for production, QA, and development purposes
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to help establish environment management strategies for new customers
  • Analyze and propose optimal deployment solutions for new product features
  • Collaborate with the developer teams, and support their work
  • Contribute to internal projects by developing innovative tools to improve deployment quality, efficiency, and speed
  • Deliver knowledge transfers and provide ad-hoc training to customer teams

Requirements

Experience & Education:
2+ years of professional experience in software development, DevOps, or a similar technical role A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent practical experience Proven experience in full lifecycle software implementation projects Candidates must be eligible for employment in Europe
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Solid understanding of the following: Relational databases API principles and web services Continuous Integration (CI/CD) pipelines XML Package automation and deployment
Qualities & Communication:
A passion for technology and a drive to solve complex challenges Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to support technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience designing or working within a cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure)
  • Familiarity with the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) and its associated tools, such as Jenkins, Selenium, and GitHub
  • Practical programming and code-reviewing skills, particularly with languages like Python, Java, or Shell scripting
  • Proven experience building or integrating with RESTful APIs

Total compensation: 12,000,000 - 23,000,000 HUF The total compensation range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential total compensation range for this role. Please note that actual total compensation may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position's total compensation may be composed of other types of compensation, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
