Main Responsibilities
- Lead all Finance and Accounting activities for the Mexico entity.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance practices.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyze financial performance, profitability, revenue trends, and cost drivers.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local tax, legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
- Act as the primary finance contact for internal and external audits.
- Coordinate audit deliverables and remediation activities.
- Support ERP transformation initiatives, including SAP-related projects.
- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead remediation of historical accounting and reporting issues when required.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams on finance integration projects.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity position, and working capital.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and treasury-related activities.
- Partner with business leaders to support commercial and operational decision-making.
- Present financial performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing finance teams.
- Experience working in multinational organizations.
- Strong background in Controllership, Financial Reporting, Compliance, and Audit Management.
- Experience leading ERP implementations, migrations, or finance transformation projects.
- Knowledge of Mexican statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced skills in financial analysis and business partnering.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and local accounting regulations.
- Experience with SAP and other ERP platforms.
- Strong project management and process improvement capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
- Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, MBA, Master’s Degree, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience leading large-scale finance transformation and change management initiatives.
- Advanced experience in process automation and finance modernization programs.
