About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.

Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, S&P Dow Jones Indices, FTSE Russell, WisdomTree, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, Lido, GMX and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.

About The Role

Chainlink is looking for a Documentation Engineer to create and maintain accurate, accessible developer documentation that enables developers to successfully understand and integrate Chainlink products. Working closely with engineering, product, and Developer Relations partners, you will validate real product workflows, improve developer onboarding, and deliver high-quality technical content that evolves alongside the platform.

Your Impact

  • Own a defined documentation surface and keep assigned product documentation accurate, current, and technically validated.

  • Improve developer onboarding and integration experiences by publishing clear tutorials, conceptual guides, technical references, and how-to documentation.

  • Validate code examples by reproducing end-to-end workflows, correcting outdated content, and ensuring published examples work as intended.

  • Deliver complete documentation for assigned product updates and launches within established timelines and quality standards.

  • Strengthen documentation quality by following docs-as-code practices, technical review processes, and established publishing workflows while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, structured developer documentation, including tutorials, conceptual documentation, technical references, and how-to guides.

  • Experience reading and modifying JavaScript or TypeScript code and independently writing and validating straightforward code samples.

  • Working knowledge of Markdown, Git, pull requests, and docs-as-code workflows.

  • Proven ability to reproduce developer workflows end to end, identify inaccuracies in documentation, and validate technical instructions before publication.

  • Foundational understanding of blockchain, smart contracts, and common Web3 developer workflows.

  • Experience collaborating effectively with engineers, product managers, and documentation contributors to deliver accurate technical content.

  • Demonstrated attention to technical accuracy and sound judgment in seeking technical review when requirements exceed current expertise.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, integrations, or developer tooling.

  • Hands-on familiarity with Solidity or EVM development, including deploying a basic contract, interacting with a testnet, or completing an end-to-end tutorial.

  • Experience working with a static-site documentation framework such as Astro, Docusaurus, Fumadocs, or a comparable platform.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot documentation code examples and implement basic fixes independently.

  • Familiarity with CI validation, link checking, formatting validation, or other documentation quality processes.

  • Experience using AI-assisted coding or writing tools responsibly to draft, test, or validate documentation while verifying outputs through human review.

  • Experience incorporating feedback from developers, support teams, Developer Relations, or engineering partners to improve documentation.

  • Prior experience producing Web3 or blockchain documentation.

  • Familiarity with Chainlink products.

  • Open-source contributions or a public portfolio of technical writing and code samples.

  • Experience with OpenAPI, Swagger, or generated API references.

  • Familiarity with Go, Rust, Move, or another language commonly used in blockchain infrastructure.

  • Exposure to documentation analytics or developer feedback tooling.

  • Familiarity with structuring documentation for AI-agent consumption.
