We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our growing team of TPMs. The Senior TPM will be responsible for leading Security-focused programs that may be complex, somewhat ambiguous and/or high impact initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success working in the Security domain, be comfortable when navigating ambiguity, able to execute at scale, and is able to flex between large and small programs to accomplish business needs. The Senior TPM is experienced at influencing commitment and leading teams to land measurable impactful outcomes, and balances strategic wins and incremental success. 

The TPM team at 1Password acts as a force multiplier for the Tech organization by driving cross-functional, technical initiatives. We align teams both inside and outside of Tech to enable timely decisions, uncover gaps, and guide programs towards well-defined, successful outcomes. We use our communication, technical, and organizational skills to help the entire Tech org solve its highest priority problems. The TPM org supports programs across all of Product and Tech, including Product, Design, Engineering, Security, Dev Ops, and IT. 

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

    • 8+ years of technical program management experience. 
    • Accomplished leader with technical depth in the Security domain. Able to tackle loosely defined problems and projects. Capable of analyzing, synthesizing requirements and objectives, exercising judgment, and devising solutions with limited information.
    • Deep focus on execution, follow-through and ownership. Effectively keeps programs on course, detects and recommends course-corrections when appropriate, and establishes apt tracking, reporting & escalation processes. Capable of driving commitment and navigating trade-offs. 
    • Drives simplicity - identifies process breakdowns, designs simple, repeatable and scalable processes, mentors teams on. 
    • Excellent communicator with experience presenting to senior leaders, representing program parameters to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Accomplished at fostering cross-functional relationships and influencing alignment to drive clarity, ownership and outcomes. 
    • A profound respect for user privacy and information security. 
    • Ask lots of questions, learn from any failures, and continually stretch yourself. 

What you can expect

    • Own and lead high impact, high complex or ambiguous initiatives.
    • Identify program challenges, and build simple scalable processes & solutions.
    • Foster cross-functional relationships between Product, Design, and Tech teams to deliver high quality and highly reliable apps and services. 
    • Leads team and cross-team planning, roadmapping, meetings. 
    • Deeply familiar with the technical stack related to their program space and able to facilitate technical conversations. 
    • Keep security and privacy front of mind in all aspects of your work.
    • Partner with other TPMs in the tech organization.
USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $138,000 USD and $186,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $116,000 CAD and $156,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
