Articulate is seeking a versatile and skilled Software Engineer II to join our Growth Engineering team!

In this role, you will work across multiple applications utilizing different tech stacks to drive innovation and growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, implement data-driven strategies, and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure the stability and performance of our systems. What you'll do:

    • Develop and Optimize: Collaborate closely with product and design teams to design, develop, and optimize features that support our growth initiatives, including A/B testing, user segmentation, and personalized experiences.
    • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Marketing teams to identify and prioritize features that drive user engagement and retention, bringing your versatility to collaborate effectively across different parts of the organization.
    • Work Across Multiple Applications: Engage with various applications and services within our ecosystem, each utilizing different tech stacks, and seamlessly transition between them to implement and optimize growth-related features.
    • Enhance User Experience: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues that negatively impact user experience, contributing to a smoother and more engaging and accessible user journey.
    • Ensure Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adapting to different coding standards and best practices depending on the technology in use, and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery.
    • Participate in On-Call Rotation: Be an active participant in the on-call rotation, responding to and resolving critical issues across various applications and services, ensuring the stability and reliability of our systems at all times.
    • Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our growth engineering efforts remain cutting-edge.

What you should have:

    • 3+ years of experience working in a software engineering environment with a history of collaborative, team-based work
    • Proficiency with modern frontend and backend Javascript frameworks and tooling
    • Ability to write clear, testable, and maintainable Typescript
    • Familiarity with SQL databases and writing queries
    • A baseline understanding of web accessibility principles and best practices
    • Strong communication skills and an ability to clearly explain technical topics to engineers and non-engineers alike
    • A strong ability to make data-driven decisions, ensuring that engineering decisions are informed by accurate insights and analytics

Nice to haves:

    • React experience strongly preferred
    • Experience working with growth engineering teams and A/B testing
    • Knowledge of NestJS, GraphQL and Postgres
    • Knowledge of AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, Dynamo, etc.)
    • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
$105,900 - $158,900 a year
The pay range for this position is $105,900 to $158,900 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
