Job Summary
The Account Manager (or Director based on experience) within Togetherwork’s Nonprofit Group will be a senior client-facing member of the team, helping lead growing customer relationships with a portfolio of well-known nonprofit accounts. The Account Manager/ Director will be focused on addressing their needs, building, and strengthening their relationships to achieve long-term partnerships, increasing their satisfaction with our products, assist with any escalations and being their champion within in our organization.
You will develop a thorough understanding of our products, service offerings and the unique dynamics of nonprofit organizations to better expand our relationship. Effective Communications is central to the role of Account Management. This position will require a strong communicator in order to be successful. Presentation building, email communication, meeting recaps, and all forms of business communication are essential skills in the day-to-day expectations.
You love helping customers with needs, take great pride in your work, and think of business relations as more than just a job. You have experience taking a customer and transforming them into a thriving, lasting account. You can multitask, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and prime attention to detail. You have proficiency with common customer success and customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce.
Responsibilities
Create & Build Customer Confidence
- Articulate product features and benefits to provide clear direction for sales material.
- Collaborate with our development team to innovate and enhance our products.
- Develop lasting relationships to create loyal customers and improve retention.
- Understand their business objectives and how our products support them.
- Consult on product usage best practices and drive feature adoption.
- Provide feedback to the Product Management and Support teams.
- Work with Support to proactively resolve problems.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interaction.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Analyze and determine customer needs.
Communicate Effectively
- Create pro-active presentations (in PowerPoint) that help frame-up and deliver against multiple scenarios:
- Best Practices & Product Adoption Strategies
- Financial / Retainer Usage Opportunities
- Strategic Recommendations
- Results Reporting
- Identify Expansion (upsell/cross-sell) opportunities.
- Analyze and determine customer needs and be able to summarize in presentation format.
- Provide feedback to the Product Management and Support teams; coordinate consolidated customer communications.
Drive Customer Retention & Expansion Opportunities
- Collaborate with development team to provide recommendations based on client feedback to innovate and enhance our products.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and financials (email, shared documents, software/ Salesforce notes).
- Secure yearly/ multi-year renewals through strong business routines and contract negotiations.
- Ensure customer alignment with ongoing financial deliverables through renewal.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
- Experience working with customers and well-rounded customers relation skills.
- Experience in working with or for nonprofit organization is a major plus.
- Ability to understand market trends and anticipate changes.
- Exceptional customer service and communication.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Time management skills.

Salary Range Disclosure
The base range represents the low and high end of the Togetherwork salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Togetherwork’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include discretionary bonuses, long term incentives, a flexible paid vacation/personal time policy, 6 weeks paid parental leave and more.
Salary Range
US Remote: $ 90,000- $100,000 USD per year
