About the role
You'll join the UX Operations team, which is a small but mighty team of smart thinkers and problem solvers, who are thoughtful and passionate about creating services and systems to enhance UX at Shopify, and work towards making commerce better for everyone.
As a UX Ops Project Manager, your work will focus on creating programs that support UX education, tooling, and culture. Our UX Ops team is scrappy, hands-on, technically adept, and masterful in balancing multiple projects and priorities. We’re comfortable working in complex systems, with multiple constraints, we excel in clear communication and facilitating change, all while designing the very best service and support for UXers.
Projects you could work on:
Collaborating with subject matter experts on the UX team to produce material for our internal learning programs and systems. E.g. our internal documentation, new hire onboarding, craft development programs, and more.
Working with UXers to establish rituals and programs to build culture and establish connection in our digital by design environment, across multiple timezones.
Developing and managing UX wide programs while also looking for ways to make ongoing improvements to their effectiveness, operational efficiency and scalability. e.g. our UX mentorship program.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with leaders across the UX organization to evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborating with the RnD Learning team to amplify the effectiveness of RnD offerings to a UX audience.
Experience as a Programs Manager, Producer, or Project Manager, especially in an operations or service providing context
Experience managing and designing learning education programs
Strong communication, engagement, consensus gathering skills
Strong project planning and management skills
Expert facilitation and coordination skills
A deep understanding of large-scale organizational behaviour
Technical knowledge in design, content design, marketing design, research, and UX methods and practices is an asset
