Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Technical Lead in the Flex Business Unit. As a technical lead, you will lead our developers in the design and implementation of representing all of Flex’s infrastructure in code. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to influence and implement architectural solutions that will enable us to achieve our goal of being the world’s most trusted communication platform. Not only will you be responsible for tackling some of the most complex and exciting technical problems in the industry, you will also be working across the product scope based on priority need and work directly with others to provide advice and guidance on implementation approach, lead cross-team technical discussions, build relationships across architecture and engineering that help resolve bottlenecks and provide the best production solution. 

Who?
Twilio is looking for a leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record designing and implementing high scalable software services.  They also have:

  • Knowledge of architectural patterns and archetypes for building mature services, especially for distributed and multi-regional.
  • Depth of operational experience in complex distributed systems, including defining, measuring and monitoring SLO/SLAs towards high availability and reliability goals
  • Proven abilities in high level service design -- modeling interfaces and internals in a properly modular, composable, and extensible fashion.
  • Good working knowledge with cloud service providers and highly distributed systems. 
  • Ability to think at scale, bringing a focus on continuous delivery methodologies from design through deployment and operations.
  • Experience in deploying and managing systems and services in a platform-agnostic manner using technologies such as K8, Terraform, Docker, Chef/Ansible/Puppet.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience including 2+ working on a team in a DevOps/SRE environment.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well. 

Salary:

Denver/Boulder Metro:

Salary Range: $132,928.00 - 166,160.00

Rest of Colorado:

Salary Range: $116,312.00 - 145,390.00

Sales Commission: Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

Non Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
