Senior Product Operations Manager EMEA
About the role
Shop is a consumer app, which is on a mission to change how we shop. From the fastest checkout experience in Shop Pay to all-in-one order tracking and easy ways to find and shop local brands in app, Shop is making shopping better one step at a time for both shoppers and the merchants they buy from. Shop is already one of the top 5 apps in North America and we're just getting started in Europe.
What will you do?
Be a cross-functional expert
Owning the rituals for alignment, accountability and feedback, and driving their rhythm across multiple teams within Shop Growth.
Ensuring the right people are involved in the right projects at the right time and managing Shop & Shopify wide communication, finding alignment and best practices across teams.
Understanding blinds spots, identifying and escalating risks across dozens of projects to Product Leadership, all while building communication bridges between executives and hands on teams building our products
Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders to improve efficiency, effectiveness and escalate areas of opportunities/risks to Product Leadership
Ensure we build and optimize for velocity
Develop a deep understanding of how teams work and what’s in their way, to solve bottlenecks, streamline communication, and help us focus and move faster to make merchants successful.
Provide visibility into what product teams are working on, timelines, and risks so leadership, marketing, support, and the rest of Shopify know what’s shipping, by when, and for whom.
Create and share content for collective clarity on purpose, priorities and progress.
Collaborate with frontline teams, Data and UX Research to disseminate insights leading to data-informed product development.
What do you bring to the table?
Experience with product operations or other product roles, go-to-market or project management
Experiencing ideating and owning processes, tooling and/or roadmapping for software products
Create order out of chaos by asking tough questions and communicating clearly, and being comfortable in an ambiguous environments
Have a growth mindset to learn new things every day, including things you’ve never done before
Have experience implementing minimum viable processes and influence team behaviours, reiterate based on feedback speedily without hesitation
Understanding blinds spots, identifying and escalating risks across dozens of projects to Product Leadership and designing mitigations
Be self driven and proactive - prior leadership experience is a nice to have, but not mandatory.
