About the job

Twilio Segment is growing rapidly and seeking a Senior Manager, Deal Desk, to join our Deal Desk function. We are looking for a seasoned leader to help us scale and partner as trusted advisors to our growing Sales organization. This role will cover North America, LATAM, and Canada, and be responsible for all the non standard escalations across the Growth, Mid Market and Enterprise segments. The position has a critical role in coaching, supporting and evolving a team of high caliber managers and analysts across the Americas regions.

Responsibilities

As the Deal Desk Senior Manager you will be leading the Americas team focused on Twilio’s strategic direction, collaborating with your peers to identify best in class practices, and contributing to the building out the next phase of team capabilities in support of our vision and mission, while fostering a culture based on our values. Twilio is increasingly selling to more complex enterprise accounts and expanding internationally. We are looking for a leader who will help us scale in a way that balances the company’s need for deal velocity with the understanding of the impact of the deal economics. Embracing standardization and operational excellence to ensure efficiency and scalability while continuously seeking to identify opportunities to drive simplification. 

The individual in this role will lead a team of professionals that advises Sales on deal structuring, creating the deal economics / analysis to ensure decision making is enabled through highly articulate and relevant financial metrics. It will also support any non standard Order Form creation and execution.

Success in the role requires a high degree of process orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, original thinking to proactively identify new and different approaches to structuring deals, and ability to work across multiple functions as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to Sales leadership.

Required:

  • 8+ years Desk Desk and / or related experience with a particular focus on the structuring and creating the analysis / deal economics for complex non standard deals
  • 3+ years of people management experience with a proven track record of continuous mentoring and coaching the evolution of their direct reports
  • Comfortable partnering and engaging with cross-functional teams to ensure the best possible support for Sales throughout the deal lifecycle and the timely execution of opportunities 
  • Ability to influence and build consensus across cross functional teams
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives 
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interpret, clearly articulate, handle objections, and appropriately debate difficult issues related to commercial terms and deal constructs
  • Ability to excel in a growing, fast paced environment delivering accuracy while managing to deadlines where adaptability is imperative
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expertise of general software pricing models
  • Solid experience working with Salesforce CRM, CPQ, and CLM tools

Location 

This role will be remote, and based in the USA.

Colorado applicants: 

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $120,160 - $165,220.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
