Who we are & why we’re hiring
Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.
Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.
About the job
This position is needed to support the Data and Growth Platform BU formed through Twilio’s acquisition of Segment. Segment is a key focus area for the company, and this role is an opportunity to work on a smaller team within a larger enterprise.
This will be a highly visible role, helping to guide the Go-To-Market Forecast and reporting on core financial metrics. You'll partner with the sales and success teams of the Data and Growth Platform BU to forecast headcount and expenses, model the financial impacts of investment strategies, and recommend revenue maximizing initiatives. Additionally, you’ll collaborate across the FP&A team to craft the consolidated P&L, implement process improvements, conduct budget vs actual analysis, and complete other ad hoc projects.
Twilio is a complex, high-growth, and quickly evolving business. The Finance team is central to Twilio’s decision making process and the GTM Finance team guides company investment decisions to maintain Twilio as the platform to fuel the future of communications. As a Senior Financial Analyst on this team, your ability to identify and communicate trends, opportunities and problems--and more importantly, recommend a course of action--will play a critical role in charting the Data and Growth Platform’s future, and directly impact Twilio. Additionally, this role will have the chance to help drive and implement new processes and operations as we continue to evolve and grow within Twilio.
In this role, you’ll:
Cultivate relationships and collaborate across multiple functions to deliver high visibility items.
Identify and communicate trends across various areas of the Sales and Success business.
Forecast headcount and expense for multiple departments.
Influence, improve and establish new and currently existing operations and processes.
Create financial models to help answer key business questions and inform strategy.
Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
