Senior Backend Engineer, Dev: Ecosystem Worldwide

Company: GitLab

GitLab's DevOps platform empowers 100,000+ organizations to deliver software faster and more efficiently. We are one of the world’s largest all-remote companies with 1,400+ team members and values that guide a culture where people embrace the belief that everyone can contribute.

We're currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer for our Ecosystem:Integrations group. The Ecosystem:Integrations group is responsible for seamless integration between GitLab and 3rd party products (Jira, Slack, etc.). We are also responsible for the REST API and GraphQL foundational code, and Webhooks.

The Ecosystem:Integrations group support GitLab's efforts at making our application Enterprise-Ready by focusing on integrations that are of the highest value to our largest customers.

Currently, GitLab offers 30+ Integrations that work with a variety of external systems. Integrations are important to GitLab's success, and the Integrations group was established to develop and maintain these integrations with key 3rd party systems and services.

We are also responsible for the REST API and GraphQL foundational code. Previously the REST API and GraphQL were maintained by separate groups, this approach has led to a divergence in functionality and strategy between the two APIs. Having both APIs owned by us ensures we have a cohesive strategy and led the guidance for development across GitLab.

Now that this team is in a stage focused on Ecosystem, there will be more opportunities for new features for the Integration team. It is an exciting time to join this team!
