Kickstarter, PBC is seeking an experienced Head of Recruiting to join our People team.

About the Team

Kickstarter’s People Team is organized into four areas: People Operations, Recruiting, Talent Management, and Employee Experience. We work together to recruit, develop, and retain a group of people who, together, perform at a high-level to bring our mission to life. Outside of work, members of our team sing opera, DJ, sculpt, and perform improv comedy.

In This Role, You Will:

    • Lead our recruiting function and manage our internal recruiter.
    • Train and serve as a resource for our recruiting team to improve time to fill without sacrificing candidate quality.
    • Develop new sourcing strategies for all roles, especially in this tight labor market.
    • Take on a player/coach role where you can lead strategy and also roll up your sleeves to actually recruit.
    • Refine our metrics dashboard so we can measure the flow of candidates, our speed, our diversity flow, and our ability to get to the offer stage more swiftly.
    • Develop a more refined recruiting strategy including a diversity strategy within our hiring process that allows us to attract more diverse and experienced candidates.
    • Develop and teach a series of in-house training sessions geared toward our own interviewers.
    • Build and refine collateral for recruiting purposes.
    • Partner with our Brand Marketing team to craft our first employer value proposition deck.
    • Analyze and point to better ways of recruiting that are more geared toward hiring in a more forward-thinking era.
    • Audit our recruiting tools and systems and make recommendations for augmentation, upgrades, or replacement.
    • Help manage the recruiting budget as part of the overall people team budget.
    • Deliver a great candidate experience even from those who we do not hire.
    • Act as a strategic partner with executives and hiring managers to forecast needs, refine hiring process, and improve candidate experience.

About You

    • You have extensive experience working in a fast-paced tech environment supporting all recruiting initiatives and have been a trusted consultant for C-Suite / VP-level executives on hiring strategy.
    • You have extensive experience managing recruiting teams, building processes, and scaling a company.
    • You’re skilled at building strong relationships and maintaining trust throughout the organization.
    • You have proven experience automating processes that were boring and redundant and have demonstrated familiarity with various systems and tools within the recruiting industry.
    • You’re skilled at analyzing and using data to inform recruiting strategy. 
    • You have great writing and communication skills and have demonstrated a strong ability to teach others about recruiting.
    • You have empathy for our diverse community of backers and creators.
