We are seeking a hands-on Director of Product to lead our AI Assistant team, driving both creator productivity and product-led growth strategies to increase product retention and adoption. This role uniquely combines strategic leadership with deep hands-on product management execution – you'll both define the vision and directly implement it alongside your team.
Working closely with our authoring, media, and growth product teams and partners across design, engineering, data, and marketing, you'll help shape the future of AI-powered workplace course creation. Role Context:
Initially manage one direct report while working directly with a dedicated scrum team
Balance strategic leadership and coaching with hands-on product execution and IC-level ownership
Navigate complex strategic decisions and model exceptional communication in this rapidly evolving area of our product and organization
What you'll do:
- Lead the development and execution of our AI strategy for creator tools, with direct involvement in feature specification, testing, and delivery
- Develop and present compelling strategic recommendations to senior leadership, building alignment around complex trade-offs and decisions
- Drive product decisions through rigorous A/B testing and data analysis, implementing both quick experiments and larger product initiatives
- Design and execute product-led growth strategies to drive user acquisition, activation, and expansion
- Build, coach, and mentor a world-class product team while fostering a culture of continuous learning and upholding Articulate's values of diversity and inclusion, consistent with our Human-Centered Organization framework
- Create strong feedback loops with all stakeholder groups through direct customer interaction and data-driven insights
- Foster a strong product management culture, helping evolve our practices as we scale while maintaining high standards of execution and accountability
- Partner closely with growth, marketing, and sales teams to accelerate product adoption and revenue growth
What you should have:
- 7+ years of experience as a product manager, including 3+ years managing and hiring teams.
- 5+ years building AI-powered experiences, with significant recent work (1+ years) in generative AI applications
- Outstanding executive presence with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear, compelling communication
- Demonstrated success in coaching and developing high-performing product managers, with experience adapting processes in fast-paced environments
- Proven track record in B2B product-led growth, ideally with creator tools
- Strong expertise in A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
- Data-driven mindset with expertise in defining success metrics and driving decisions through both qualitative and quantitative insights
- Proven ability to drive adoption and expansion while creating simple, beautiful, and elegant user experiences that feel like magic to customers
Nice to haves:
- Experience in Learning & Development, HR Tech, or Creator tools
- Experience scaling AI products from early adoption to mature offering
- Background in statistical analysis and experimentation design
$201,000 - $301,400 a year
The pay range for this position is $201,000 to $301,400 for all US locations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum amounts we believe in good faith, at the time of this posting, are appropriate for this role. Actual compensation may vary, subject to future adjustment as needed. Articulate considers a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
