About the job

This role will focus on the creation of a demo library based upon Segment use cases. 

The person in this position will work closely with the Twilio Segment Marketing and Product teams to build up a library of demos and resources that help developers learn and adopt Segment. Reporting to the Director, Segment Developer Network, this person will work closely with a cross-functional team of stakeholders to bring unique developer experiences to life defining the next decade of data through storytelling.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Create and execute demo content that will educate, entertain, and inspire developers to build with Segment.
  • Build autonomously to drive big initiatives forward while collaborating with internal stakeholders and engaging external vendor support when necessary.
  • Develop a process for extending demo creation in a scalable fashion with a focus on reliability.
  • Tell the story of Segment in a compelling and polished manner. 
  • Empower builders with the resources to understand what Segment is capable of across pre-sales resources.

Required:

  • Full stack JavaScript experience (frontend, serverless, database, etc.)
  • Experience deploying, maintaining, and configuring cloud services on AWS/GCP/Azure 
  • Experience building and integrating with REST APIs
  • Version control and release processes 
  • You're a problem solver, critical thinker, and excellent communicator
  • Practice in troubleshooting, support, and maintenance

Desired:

  • You have at least 2+ years of experience in a software development environment.
  • Experience with mobile app development (iOS/Swift, Android, React Native) 
  • Have built React applications. 
  • Knowledge or practical experience working within a sales organization.
  • Active involvement in existing data engineering communities.
  • You are an engaging presenter. 
  • You have knowledge of data engineering topics, workflows, and tools including relevant programming languages, SQL, SDKs, ETLs, warehouses, and analytics.

Location 

This role will be remote, and based in the United States.

Approximately 30% travel is anticipated.

Colorado applicants: 

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $120,160 - $150,200.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
