Curbed Miami is seeking a dedicated, proactive, part-time editor to run its daily editorial operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about all things Miami, particularly as it relates to the areas of Curbed’s expertise on the city around us: architecture and design, real estate, history, and development.
What you’ll do:
The Editor will be responsible for producing coverage on the site, as well as identifying trends and new opportunities for coverage. The right candidate will be a strategic thinker who is enthusiastic about breaking news and finding scoops; they’ll also be a quick, clean writer/editor who is comfortable producing both quick-hit news stories and in-depth features.
Familiarity with mainstream social platforms (namely Facebook and Twitter), along with SEO best practices, is crucial. Established contacts within Miami’s design, real estate, and development worlds are a bonus.
- The ability to write clean copy and edit to Curbed’s style guide
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work independently, with support and input from editors and colleagues

- Ability to jump on breaking news as it happens
- Must be based in Miami
