Broadcast Content Producer (Remote) Canada

About the role

You'll be working on things like:

  • Working with Broadcast Producers to craft exceptional content pieces of varying length and complexity, including stepping into any stage of production

  • Recording high-quality video and audio from a number of subjects, including on-location shoots and remote/digital recorded sessions

  • Creating skilled edits and owning post-production for various projects

  • Assisting with the creation of motion assets as standalone pieces or for inclusion in video compositions

  • Researching new tools and systems, working with team members to experiment with ways to improve the content at Shopify

  • Providing content and support for live events and productions


You’ll need to have:

  • Exceptional post-production experience

  • Vast knowledge of video production tools, software, systems, and practices

  • Impeccable video acquisition skills, in both virtual and physical formats

  • Great knowledge of pre-production for a variety of video projects

  • Great project management chops; the ability to manage competing demands and multiple timelines

  • Familiarity with motion graphics and design assets

It'd be great if you have experience with:

  • Adobe After Effects

  • Acting as a lead editor, and/or editing lengthy content pieces such as feature films or broadcast television programs

  • Closed-Captioning, descriptive video, and other accessibility software and/or hardware
