The Role

As a Data Analyst focused on Veeva Compass Solutions Consulting and Product Expert teams, you will own analyses that demonstrate the quality, coverage and strengths of our data network, as well as conduct data investigations prompted by in-bound customer inquiries.
You will be a member of a growing business unit at Veeva, working closely with Compass Strategy and Account Partners to position Compass data products (patient data and prescriber data) in-market and fuel product line growth.
In your role, you will be responsible for performing and presenting pre- and post-sales analysis to showcase Veeva Compass value to our customers. You’ll perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses to assist in the identification of data issues or anomalies that impact customers. You will curate observations regarding our data and customers’ use of it, sharing feedback with Strategy and Product to enhance market positioning and inform the Compass roadmap.

Research customer’s therapeutic areato understand diagnosis/treatment patterns, population characteristics, and market dynamicsBuild therapeutic area market definitionsto represent populations of interest for analysis Performdata querying, cleansing, analysis, and QCto support customer requestsManage projects and analysesto ensure timely deliverables that meet client needs and address key business questionsDerive insightsfrom prescription and medical claims data to demonstrate the value and unique dimensions of our data network Understand data in the context of customer use cases, identify data gaps anddevelop recommendations as to how data may be used/interpretedBuild overall expertise on the data in Veeva Compass, contributing to the development of normative databases, documentation and standardized reporting to support customers Conduct exploratory analytics tounderstand data anomalies and elevate meaningful observationsto Product for further analysisCollaborate closely with a cross-functional teamof Data Scientists, Product Managers and Developers to ensure high quality data delivery to our customersGather report requirements from customers and present resultsof analyses performed to customersLead and contribute to internal analytics initiativessupporting pre-sales and post-salesDevelop dashboardsleveraging Compass data to support common requested data views and use cases

Requirements

4+ years experienceworking with prescription and medical claims data (e.g. IQVIA, SHA, Komodo), including knowledge of industry standard billing codes such as ICD, CPT/HCPCS, NDC, etc. Expert inSQLUnderstand how relational databases work, and experience designingtransformations, mappingsand working withreference tablesExperienceinvestigating data issuesand working with a cross-functional team for problem resolution Excellent critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills

Nice to Have

Proficiency in Python Therapeutic area knowledge Experience with projected data products, including IQVIA Xponent or Source Prescriber Experience working with lab and genomics data Experience with ETL processes and tools Experience working with a product and/or agile teams Proficient with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, etc. Proficient in MS Office and/or Google Apps (Powerpoint/Slides, Excel/Sheets, etc.)

Compensation

Base pay: $65,000 - $100,000 The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
